Sketching Out In The City

Today Eric and Christi took all 17 of us out in the city to sketch. All of us really enjoy sketching so it was a lot of fun to get out of the studio and walk around the city, especially because it was a beautiful day out. They took us to two completley different Placa's (as they spell it in Spain) and we looked for transitions and patterns in the architecture and design and sketched them. The second Placa we went to was really interesting because right next to it and underneath it they had excavated an old Roman cemetary from hundreds of years ago and there were walks to go over and look down onto it. It was really cool because the cemetary was so old. I love going out into the city and sketching because you are constantly discovering the new fun and exciting new things that Barcelona has to offer!
